The Luinissinfes began in October of 1997 by Steve Hickey with the release of Psychadelic Sleep Rythms (P.S.R.) under the home grown record label of "CyberMonkey" Records. Conducted Intimate Amplification (C.I.A.) was released that following spring in 1998, also under CyberMonkey Records. Another album was allready in the making when C.I.A. was released. Sound Of Depression (S.O.D.) was recorded in the winter/spring of 1999 with Paul Mezanotte, and was released in May of 1999. The release of S.O.D. marked a huge breakthrough for the Luinissinfes. The convergance from Tape to CD, and from cheap multitrack recordings to expensive studio recordings. This was also the first time working with other artists; introducing Matt Silkworth on "Lost Direction," and featuring Ian Taylor formerly of Apathy on "Endure Forever," and "The Only One." Exposure began in the summer of 1999 with drummer Pat Mallon, Bassist Nick Vissari & guitarist Matt Silkworth. Shows were played, and cd's were sold. The following December, Steve released his first solo piano album, Diseased With Ivory (D.W.I.). But, halfway through the summer of 2000 tension started growing as plans for recording another album sprang up. Pat Mallon and Nick Vissari were removed from The Luinissinfes lineup and drummer Jerry Zamostny was added along with Steve's brother Jim Hickey on bass. This also marked the death of CyberMonkey Records, and the birth of Deformative Records. A fourth album, FBI Part 2, was recorded with Mike McAree (SR-71, Live Alien Broadcast) in the winter of 2001 in the basement of Drew Mazurek's home studio (Gwar, Nothingface, Click). Along with a home-recorded album, FBI Part 1, which together make up the double CD: Feelings Beyond Intimidation. In the fall of 2002 Matt Silkworths brother Joe was added to the guitar section of The Luinissinfes. Completing the lineup that is current to date. The Luinissinfes is in the process of Promoting FBI, while working on demos of new material, to be released as an EP Winter 2003. Another piano project is in the works as well, for release also in Winter 2003
